About me and my mentor auction

I am a Westchester County based wedding and lifestyle photographer who shoots primarily in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. I started my career as a teacher and have transitioned into the photography world. I have been shooting for a number of years and specifically in the wedding industry for four years. Auction Includes: A 2 hour mentoring session with me where we cover anything you to help your business grow. From what I shoot, how I shoot, what my settings are, what I use to process my images, the programs I use and trust, what I use to host/upload/etc.

My mentor session can take place in my hometown of Amawalk, NY OR on the phone.

Nicole and Chris – A Yorktown Engagement

A Simsbury, CT Wedding at Hop Meadow Country Club / Els and Dean – Part 3

Els and Dean had a romantic wedding witnessed by their loved ones and guests on the terrace of the Hop Meadow Country Club. Their cocktail hour had a guest star performance by her talented son who plays the guitar like a PRO!

I spy bow-tie! True gentleman!

Part way through the night, Els decided she had enough of her dress. It was TOO hot. So, she cut it. Off. Like… CUT THE DRESS! YES!

Els wanted a photo booth and created these awesome little details! Very nice!

The Day: Els was surrounded only by her closest ladies and one handsome young gentleman as she prepared for her monumental day. After the makeup, the dress, and a deep breath, she stepped outside where Dean was patiently waiting for her. They had decided to have a First Glance in front of their loved ones, including the Els’ two beautiful children. It was the perfect start to an emotional day full of love, meaningful details, and LOTS of dancing.

**Note, I chose to blog only the images in black and white because I like them that way… and I know you will understand

Yeah, that’s a 4 year old working an iPhone 4 camera. I wonder if he’s using Instigr.am or Chase Jarvis‘ The Best Camera

** After you tell Els how beautiful she looked, tell me who YOU would spend your “First Glance” time with (if you could do or did one). Personally, I would love to have have done one if I were “permitted” to, but… I would have chosen to have my parents, her parents, our siblings, and the photographer. Yep… intimate, quaint, and meaningful.

A Wainwright House Wedding / Rye, NY

Jenni and Greg were married at the Wainwright House in Rye, NY on a beautiful day. Their unique style and presence made for an interesting and enjoyable day of capturing images. Jenni was insanely creative and came up with some details that one might think would be very contrasting but seemed to work perfectly together… metal and nature.

Jenni and Greg decided to skip the tradition and go for the First Glance. (In tradition, when a marriage is arranged, the groom was not allowed to see the bride for fear he may reject her based on her appearance (or vice versa) and not the parents wise counsel !) The First Glance allows both the bride and groom to see each other before the wedding giving a more real, intimate, and personal experience without “everyone” watching.

These earthy flowers are absolutely incredible… perfect!

“Jenni… move forward… to the left, a little more, now forward just a smidge… there!!! Don’t move” The light peeked through the leaves perfectly until it lit her and very little else.

At each table, Jenni and Greg had brain teasers… something they both enjoy. Their center pieces were, again, earthy and natural. Atypical, and a pleasure to see.

These center pieces adorned the tables inside the cocktail room…

I present Heeyoung Rhee… a cellist I will be featuring in a future blog post. His creative pop music played on the cello was fun and upbeat. The cello is one of my favorite instruments… deep, powerful, beautiful.

WAAAAAH!!!!

The Wainwright House was even kind enough to let them bring two of their favorite games so guests could play during the cocktail hour… an antique foosball table and a ping pong table.
