(For those of you reading this on Google Reader, there are pictures and video… you may want to go to the actual site)
Today would have been my younger brother’s 25th birthday. We were born almost three years apart to the day (yes that means my birthday hovers sometime around today). I thought I would share a few things with you as I look back on the man he became.
My brother was a part of the Army’s 2nd Battalion 108th Infantry Division, Charlie Company. For those of you who don’t speak military, Charlie Company means Bad Ass MOFO in military terms.
My brother knew the importance of humor. He knew that it could break the stress of a tense situation. The following video was taken by numerous soldiers in 2/108 Charlie Company throughout my brother’s experience in Iraq with point and shoot cameras. Credit for the footage goes out to them, I just edited it after he died. (btw… it’s nine minutes long) Oh yeah… THERE IS A LOT OF SWEARING… TELL YOUR KIDS “EARMUFFS”
